"Urban Myth/Mythological Implications of UFO Culture"-Intro-discussion.

Over the past 65 years, many fascinating & colorful stories have been told around the UFO mind-sets.  Clearly, before any can be taken seriously, one must BELIEVE to some degree, that UFO's are real.  My favorite;  The Men in Black.  The "MIB's" as they are called, are alleged to be very tall, thin and gaunt men with Asian-like features that arrived in long, dark/black cars, often limousine-like, with no marking or legible license plates, to question/harass citizens who claim to have seen UFO's. They reportedly really did nothing but create anxiety for the people who were questioned and they left in a hurry. Were they REAL?  These stories were predominate in the 1950's-60's and subsided.  They were also allegedly very visible during the Silver bridge collapse in 1967 in Ohio, where UFO's sightings and the Mothman stories were being shared. Some have suggested these secretive MIB's were an outgrowth of the alleged "Red Scare" in the early 1950's, where the public was immersed in the Cold War scare and obsessed with the Atomic bomb and the rise of Russia and China as world powers and enemies of America, with the MIB's as alleged secret agents out to punish the American public with threats and worry.  What do you think?  I kinda believe that it was both public anxiety and perhaps there were some legitimate stories of strange-UFO driven, Men in Black, much like the ominous stories that were told after the Roswell UFO crash in 1947 where alleged American Top Secret Agents threatened any witness to be silent and tell nothing or face a horrific death at their hands!!!!!Next:  "Alien Abductions and Hybrid/Alien Mutant Children."
