"Into the Mystic".

When I was 9 years old, one late Summer morning as I was anxiously awaiting the return of my best friend from a Canadian vacation, I went for a very early morning walk just at daybreak "hoping" to see their car in the driveway. As I took the long way near a well-traveled thoroughfare, a new car pulled-over and a well-dressed middle aged man leaned over to the passenger window to get my attention as I walking.  Remembering my mother's good and learned advice to never-ever talk to strangers, I tried to avoid this and ignore the man.  He was very-very persistent and he kept telling me to get into his car and talk.  I kept saying NO in a respectful way but to no avail.  He then reached over and grabbed my arm HARD, and said that he was a police officer.  I was both afraid and perplexed but was certain not to get into his car.  As he pulled my arm and clearly got angry, suddenly and out of nowhere I heard a woman's voice say;  "Let this boy's hand go, he is not going with you!"  I looked over and saw a beautiful lady in a white dress pointing her finger and then she smiled at me and motioned her hand for me to come her way.  Just then, this strange and forceful man let my arm go and he suddenly sped away.  As I walked towards this helpful and effulgent lady, my attention was taken  as the wheels squealed from his get away and as I went her way, suddenly she was GONE.  I was shaken and traumatized and realized instinctively that this man was most likely not a good man and that this lady may have saved my life, as I had ALWAYS been warned by my Mother to avoid strange men and to NEVER-EVER get into a car.  I knew that this was my Guardian Angel, indeed, in my life.  It was REAL and was the start of a wonderful life where SHE would assist/intervene to help me in dangerous and challenging situations.
Do you believe in Guardian Angels?  Do you have one?  Thanks for listening1  Capt. Rick Rotundo
